Clutch/parking sensor problem/error in Renault Grand Scenic
- check parking brake
Now I have Renault Grand Scenic 2005 1.6 16V and had to solve problem with Parking B
rake problem.
On my dashboard appeared after a while a message - Check Parking Brake.
But important thing is, that, the notification disappeared after I push the clutch. Even just a bit, so It is not the Parking Brake (btw. I have an automatic one).
So I was pretty sure that it is not the brake but some sensor.
There are 3 sensors connected to the clutch pedal and I described below how to get into them and basically fix them.
To do so, you have to dismantle few covers and plastics.
Below step by step in pictures how to do it.
There are three screws and two clips holding the cover
Lift it very easy up and then pull toward windscreen
Three spots where I lifted the cover
The orange socket is for additional switches
Blue plug will go off it self after you pull the black buckle anticlockwise
The cover is removed, now you have full acces to the sensors.
As you can see you have three sensors (follow the wires); I am not sure which one exactly is responsible for Error so I took "care" all of them
Two of them are exactly the same (the way they work)
To remove them twist the body by 90 degrees anticlockwise
The third sensor is a bit picky. Has a kind of twist lock (take a look on pictures below)
Now let take a look inside
Two microbrushes slide on track
Clean brushes and track - you can use a special liquid called Kontakt (last picture). But just not even a drop of it put on the track, the best way is to use tiny small needle
Because the body of sensor (grey/blue part) is very flexible, I opened it by lifting it up with flat-head screwdriver (very tiny), then moved side to side
That is what you will find inside the sensor
Clean the connectors by soft wire brush, then put a drop of Kontakt
I was wondering how does it work. Well when you push the clutch pedal the pin goes inside and mechanism disconnect the circuit. But here I found the problem. The spring was not strong enough to move pin back on it initial position. so...
... I make it a bit bigger, basically I stretched spring and put it back inside sensor's body.
That fixed my problem. After I assembled all part together again error dissapeared.
Good luck!

Thank you so much sir! I also own a Renault Scenic II, but mine is 1.9 dCi and has exactly the same error.
ReplyDeleteI also have problem with oil leaking from engine. Before two months i have changed indentations belt and the semering near it, but now oil leaking started to happen again, but from the other parts of the engine. Now not that much leaking but its loosing the engine oil. What to do?
Hi! This happen because the injection need to replace and the oil like strong pasta when dry is to hard to remove, so to stop loosing oil you need to replace injection. If the oil come from front tyre when the car stop for long time, this is because the recent service in brake tyre after couple of days no more oil come out.
DeleteHi. Thanks for comment. To be honest I cannot help you unless you send me some pictures and exactly describe the problem. In my wife's car there is no leaks at all but could appear in the future. At the moment mileage is about 35 000 km so the car is just like new. regards

ReplyDeleteI got a Renault Scenic II 1.6. 2004 model. I got two error messages tht come up. One for steering and the other fir airbag. I would appreciate if you could help me with tht.
Regards
Hi.
ReplyDeleteI need more informations. When those errors appeared? Did they just pop out or maybe after battery problem, fuse blown etc.?
Does the steering works or not? Does it make any weird sound? Which of the airbag error appeared?
Hi
ReplyDeleteThe error msg jst popped the two of them. The steer wheel is working fine no pblms at all bt the msg jst says check steer wheel. The air bag I tried turning it on and off, checked the fuses as well bt it still shows tht error message as well. I recently saw another for the parking brakes bt saw it had come loose. I manged to put the connector bck bt nw it is still showing the parking error on the display bt its working wen I pull or press it manually.

Your check airbag light is due to seat being slid back and forth causing the connection to come loose look under seat there is a small flap of fabric pull it back and thats the airbag sensor connection unplug and plug back in after three starts error message will be gone
ReplyDeleteI am sorry for long waiting time. Michael has wright. But you can also check fuses and relays in engine compartment. I am not really sure if that will work but its easy to check. You may also try to disconnect battery from car and leave it for 10min. I read on Renault forum that solve some issues, and finally you can check if you don't have any broken wires around steering column. I am suggesting that as I found recently 1 broken wire over there which caused me error with clutch sensor. thx
ReplyDeleteThanks for good post. Nice work. Tried all the above, but with no luck. Error still apears :(. And that's the only thing that's been left on to-try list to solve this problem.
ReplyDeleteThen you have to go to garage and pin it to Renault computer (OBD) and check for error codes
ReplyDeleteGood luck
Thanks
Hello. I have Renault Grand Scenic 2005 model. I was wondering about the clutch in the car it takes very high. I was wondering do you know if that car has a clutch cable or is it just hydrolic system?
ReplyDeleteIt is fully hydraulic (model 2002 up). It could be few reasons but in 90% it is a faulty clutch pump.
ReplyDeletethx
Thanx for youre answer :)
ReplyDeleteHello I have a grand scenic 1.5 deci 2006 the check parking brake message it's always on but the parking brake working fine put it on computer and couldn't read brake system what can it be the problem? Thanks
ReplyDeleteHi there,
ReplyDeleteIf service computer could not read the brake system this mean there is problem either with cables or sensors. OBD (on board diagnostic) system is based on many sensors in different areas of your car. If a cable or sensor is faulty then there i no connection between computer and sensors - computer does not see - in this situation a brake system. I would check the sensors first.
Thanks
Hi I have grand scenic 06plate and can't select gear wen car is cold run it for 20min then it's fine also clutch has dropped and now parking brake fault on dash and handbrake doesn't work at all any help?
ReplyDeleteHi Martin, thank you for question.
ReplyDeleteI would check first what is wrong with the clutch - is it clutch it self (disk) or maybe clutch cylinder (any leak, pump problem) and this could be related to gearbox problem. At the same time I would check oil level in gearbox (take a look on a picture on post "Coil and shocks...").
Q: Can you select gear when is warm outside or always you have to run engine for those 20min before you can do anything?
Thx
If it's warm outside it seems to be fine thanks for replying
ReplyDeletewojtek in your case did you have intermitent the red light on the small handbrake button?
ReplyDeleteHi Elena. That small light was always on when the parking brake was on, and always off when parking.
ReplyDeletebrake was released
thx
So I understand my problem is different to yours,
ReplyDeleteMy handbrake failed one month ago and appeared warning messages and service and P indicator also the intermitent red light...but from more than a week ago it is working again but there is no way to reset all messages...and I have the NCT in 2 weeks....
any idea or someone who could fix it avoiding renault delaer in DUblin?
thanks for your help
Hi. Can you send me your email or ph via contact form? I know very good mechanic in Dublin.

ReplyDeleteHave had a problem with our Koleos for months. Keep getting a warning triangle and Check park brake message even though the park brake works fine. It turned out to be caused by a faulty clutch position switch and was cured by replacing said item. Diagnostics error messages point to the problem cause.
ReplyDeleteHi. Parking break fault has appeared on my dash, handbrake is not working. Also the service light with the p has appeared. I've no idea what's going on. It's a scenic dynamique 2003
ReplyDeleteHi Lorraine!
ReplyDeleteThat service light means there is no connection between parking handle and the system in your car. It could be some interruption in current flow. I would suggest to go to electrician and ask him to dismantle that handle and check tracks on PCB pool. It is old car and maybe humidity broke up the connections on tracks. thanks. PM me where you are from so maybe I can advice you more
Hi,
ReplyDeleteParking break sticking on so fixed that but still coming up on dash parking fault is there a manual override I can do myself.
Thanks
Mark
I think you may need to reset that error in OBD system (you need to go connect it to the service computer and erase the error)...
DeleteI have Scenic 2004 1,9 dci...i have the same icon (service P)...but the parking brake is working fine...is automatic when i shut down.....so can i drive with the icon on...is it safe...or i have to remove it?
ReplyDeleteHello pnikola007!
ReplyDeleteIt is a warning light, meaning something needs attention. I cannot say it is safe to drive the car with this warning on the dashboard. It may and probably will not affect your driving , however it does need attention.
Thx
I have the same problem , parking brake fault ,service sign and p sign on dash yet parking brake works fine I tried the fuses under the seat checked connectors and replaced parking brake lever switch, both new and od switch have no red led on thats why I thought it was the switch but problem still persists , only got message when battery died any ideas ..do you know any good mechanics in liverpool who could help...Thabks
ReplyDeleteHi.

Hi.
Just to make me sure - Did it happen after battery died?
yes
The battery went flat on my Renault Scenic and I had to replace it, after I had fitted the new battery, the dash was displaying "Check Parking Brake" this seems to be a common problem and can be fixed for free and it’s something you can do yourself.
DeleteFollow the steps below to fix the Renault Check Parking Brake Error Message.
Step 1. Open the Boot, lift out the carpet, and just behind the rear seat you will find a Red cover, I used a flat screwdriver to pry this off, but be careful not to damage the cover as you will want to replace it after fixing the parking brake.
Step 2. When the cover has been removed look for a handle to pull, the handle on my Renault Scenic was yellow, yours may be different.
Step 3. Now start your car and use the handbrake pull leaver that you would normally use to manually apply the handbrake, you should hear a winding noise coming from the Renaults boot, when the brake has finished push thebutton and pull it again to release the handbrake and fingers crossed the error message will have gone.
If the Check Parking Brake Error has gone, replace the Red cover you removed and re-fit the boot carpet.
Nice. Thank you for your comment
DeleteHi again,
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion you will need to erase the error in OBD/CPU system; you will need to go to the garage and ask mechanic to remove all errors. It is possible on top of that you may have some engine errors too, due to lack of power(Battery). If you did not mechanically damage the lever then I believe is the only option. Thx

DeleteGrand scenic 1.6 petrol clutch is seemingly slipping but once hit 4000 rpm pulls great but until then it's got no pull at all...tried bleeding but same..any ideas please..05 plate manual
ReplyDeleteHI.
DeleteI am sorry for delay in answering. In my opinion the clutch disc has to be replaced as well as the bearing. You clutch may work for a while at 4000rpm as it was slipping for a while, got higher temperature and better grip, but still warming up due to slipping and at certain temperature lost the grip at all. Clutch with labor is around 300-400eu but :) You may try a trick that would cost you around 2eu. It's trick that came from race cars, and in fact I tested it at my work experience in garage. Buy a bottle of coke; it has to be normal coca-cola, not the 0, not the diet, not the green one. Standard red label coca cola. pour about 1/4 of bottle on the clutch. Start the engine, pour another 1/4. Drive for few minutes, lets say 5km, stop the engine and pour the rest of it. Wait for an hour. Should be fixed, however it is emergency and temporary only. sounds crazy but it works. Remember it has to be normal Coca Cola, would not work on the others. thx and let me know
My Renault grand scenic 1.6 2005 manaul will not start says Select neutral on dash its in neutral will not start reads key battery fine all light up like it should push clutch in press start comes up select neutral why help
ReplyDeleteSame as mine,
DeleteI had the same problem. You may either need to change the reversing light switch or check the cables or check over the clutch brake pedals if there is any wire hanging. If you will decide to change the switch check if you 2 or 3 pin. THx
Great howto :)
ReplyDeleteThanks
no problem
DeleteHi wojtek, having same problem as you did with check parking brake error on dash, have had diagnostic done and it came up as clutch position sensor,is it possible that same error could occur if i replaced reverse light switch with cheap aftermarket part purchased from ebay,i only ask this as error only appeared directly after fitting this part, any advice would be appreciated.
ReplyDeleteGerard thank you for your question. I may be related. Make sure you bought the 2 or 3 pin switch as 2 version are available.
ReplyDeleteBefore I started this blog I had an issue with SELECT NEUTRAL message on the dashboard.
I could start the engine having engaged gear by just pushing clutch pedal and start button. Then I could not. Not on neutral/engaged nor clutch/no clutch. So it may be the switch. Is it new one or second hand?
BTW I bought mine on Ebay too and it was not Renault, just generic for 8-10eu as far as I remember.
Thx. Keep me updated
I have a problem in my scenic 2 2004 1.9 dci select neutral and dont want to start o hope some one will help me with it. Thnx

Hi Wojtek I would like to add that I had a problem with airbag light few times and the problem always was airbag ribbon/clock spring or airbag squib these are the names and I have seen lots of handbrake units on sele on adverts for those people with a handbrake problem nice blog by the way- MarekG
ReplyDeleteThank you MarekG
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteI replaced both cables of the parking brake on my Grand Scenic 2 and also the blue relay inside the unit(unit stpped working). Now unit works manually no prob. But red light on parking brake switch keeps flashing and the parking brake will not release when trying to drive and will not engage automatically when engine switched off. No messages on dash. When obd scanner connected i got DF015 clutch position sensor circuit:short circuit to earth and DF044 brake on switch:short circuit to earth.
Thanks
try to check if wire has a proper earth connection. You may just for test connect wire directly to battery "-" and see if it works, on a clutch and brake sensor.
ReplyDeletethx
Hi Wojtek-N,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great article. I have the exact same problem (parking brake works well but the sensor is faulty) The only difference with all the cases out there is - it's a Megane 3(!), not 2 . And when looking in the internet - no one seems to have any of those problems with Megane/Scenic 3. Only 2.
I'm wondering where these 3 sensors are located in Megane 3...
Hi i have 2005 1.5dci scenic. Parking brake switch wont release manually but automatic release is fine. I have tried changing the switch but still the same applies ok but wont manually release. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks david.
ReplyDeletehi. You will have to check it on the computer. But it seems to be faulty electronic parking brake handle
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI have the grand scenic 1.9 diesel dci and the electric brake failed with same error.
My mates a mechanic with a garage he stripped the EPB and the motor was dead he replaced it as he had a spare motor and it worked in place on the car passing a current through it but when connected up he managed to clear the fault codes but the one code will not clear!:
Error: 'emergency release cord has been pulled' with this not clearing the unit will not work. I phoned a guy off ebay as he had a 'load sensor' for sale and he said it might be that sensor but was unsure.
So I emailed bluechipautotronics@gmail.com and they said it would not be the load sensor his reply:
We would monitor the inputs from the handle and check for presence of after-ign supply. The load sensor generates its own code or the gearbox makes a scream if faulty in some conditions or a failed coding attempt possibly?
Any ideas please ? Thanks
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI have a problem with automatic brake release of Scenic 2008 1.6 16v. It works well when reversing, but does not automatically release when going forward with first gear. Any suggestions, please?
Thanks,
Martin
Hi.
DeletePerhaps you will need to change the parking brake module.Which is quite expensive. Do you really need the brake to release automatically when moving off?
Not really worth it. But if... get it connected to OBD and perform diagnostic test. you will know exactly then what is the problem. Thanks
Hi,
ReplyDeleteyou wrote "Clean brushes and track - you can use a special liquid called Kontakt (last picture). But just not even a drop of it put on the track, the best way is to use tiny small needle", I don't understand what you mean. Should I use Kontakt to clean tracks, or not? :)
Jt
Hi. Yes it does not make any sense hahaha. Thanks for pointing it out. I was tired writing this post :). Anyway, clean it using for instance vodka (very good de-greaser) and then apply tiny bit of some conductor liquid. Thanks
DeleteHi please could you tell me the names of the sensors and if they can be replaced
ReplyDeleteHi. There are 3 sensors, all can be replaced. Brake pedal sensor/switch, clutch pedal sensor (2x)
DeleteThanks
Hi, I see from reading earlier comments that you are aware of a very good mechanic in Dublin who (I assume) is skilled in working on Renaults.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to find someone in Northern Island or Dublin who can consider and quote for a turbo replacement on an Espace.
Cheers
hi
ReplyDeleteYes I have a fantastic colleague in Dublin. can you send me a message using contact form? I will reply to you
thanks
Wojtek
Hi Wojtek, please excuse my ignorance but could you supply a link to the formal contact form please? Cheers Bob
ReplyDeletehi Bob. it is on every page. you can find it on right hand side on top of the page

Hi
ReplyDeleteI have a Renault Scenic2 from 2004 and now has a problem and I don't know what is. . Instead to run,the car is rising the rotations . Also it is leaving hard and has no force to run. Also has a parking brake fault on dashboard.
Hi.
ReplyDeleteGet the new acceleration pedal. Electronic part on it is fault.
Thanks
Hi Wojtek. Scenic iii 2009 dCi. One of sensors on clutch pedal gone. Plastic part responsible for self release brake broken. This is the one on the left side of the pedal clipped into with small bit coming on the metal bar. Any advise what is the exact name of the part and where to get this in Dublin? Thanks
ReplyDeleteHi.
ReplyDeleteCan you send me an email please using the contact form on this site?
I will give you some details there.
thanks
Hello Wojtek. I have a 2004 Renault Scenic II with error message on dash "CHEK PARKING BRAKE", when push pedal the error goes off then reappears within few minutes, Car starts and runs ok but can't get error message cleared, have had all 3 sensors changed and still got the same message on dash, The Electronic brake has also been replaced so lost for any ideas as to why message still present, Please help.
ReplyDeleteDGC
Hi there.
DeleteIf you have changed everything then it could be parking release handle. there is a chance one of sensors is faulty. This happen sometimes. did you connected it to computer? Check if there is any messages
my Mobile mechanic replaced the parking brake at rear as it had failed, everything was fine, brakes worked perfect until few weeks ago. all that you described in this blog is exactly what has already been done, checked the sensors before fixing on, so all 3 have been changed but still get the "CHECK PARKING BRAKE" message on dash, you press down the clutch pedal and it goes off, and when release pedal its ok for about count to 10 then the engine symbol comes on including the same Message again, car seems to drive ok apart from that, spent a lot money already and even he is puzzled on whats the fault, even has done diagnostics twice.
ReplyDeleteComputer diagnostics doesn't pick up fault or maybe the ECU is not getting the signal information of fault, no idea.
ReplyDeleteHi again. You didn't answer my question, have you replaced the handle?
ReplyDeleteI am also not quite sure if the sensors are working properly, especially the third sensor as per post. Also you can by pass sensor by either closing or opening the circuit on plug coming to sensor. I am not sure which option as one sensor was closing circuit and other opening so it will be one or another. After this you'll know if the sensor is ok or not (sensor 1 and 2).
Let me know
thanks
Then you'll have to think about sensor no 3 and handle.
ReplyDeleteWhere are you from ?
Sorry if got confused, the Parking brake handle had been replaced. I shall ask my mechanic to try that as he is pulling his hair out on this one. so in short, he needs to bypass each sensor in turn to see if makes different, far as aware all 3 were fully tested to make sure they worked. I am from North Yorkshire and this car was bought for purpose of carrying foster children and one has Autism, we need car on a daily basis with living in countryside village where local supermarket is over 5 miles away.
ReplyDeleteRight, yes ask your mechanic to bypass those 2 sensors. This should work. Also he needs to check if the connection is good (clean terminals, wires soldered to terminals).
ReplyDeleteBTW You have mentioned it has been checked on diagnostic computer. When there is an warning on dashboard this should be shown on diagnostic computer
thanks
One more thing. It looks like you have the same problem I faced, so 99% it has to be a sensor
ReplyDeleteOk, Thanks a lot, will try those, if not. may have to make sure all parts are from Renault or new to make sure they are OK, going to be costly as you probably already found out.
ReplyDeleteok
ReplyDelete.good luck
Thanks, will surely be looking for another vehicle now, costing to much.Thank you for all your help and suggestions.

Good stuff on the article and helping ppl!
ReplyDeleteI have a grand scenic 2005. I replaced the handbrake cables cuz the left sid one had some holes in its cover, I thought it was that's why the "p" and service light, check handbreak and handbreak fault was doing its thing, cuz that one wasn't moving. Now my problem is that it doesn't loose it up enough on either side when I release the handbrake and every time I use the handbrake it gets tighter and tighter (the lever on the wheels) then tryed pulling the cable in the boot to release it, it worked. Then I put everything back together again and stared over, I tryed doing the reset thing but that screws the left cable out of the box after few trys, maybe that was a bad idea to try it few times I a row. But nothing has changed on dash, right now I have everything on start position, except having cables coneto the wheels in case sombody els drives, can it be a mechanical problem or is it that simple that I just need to get my hands on renault clip obd software to get it to work, thanks for your reply if u still active here :)
Hi. Yes I am still here all the time. just busy with my professional work and dont have enought time tome to post new things that would help all dyi mechanics. From your description I understand brakes do not fully release. There is a spring that pull backs the lever it could cracked, you may have seized mechanism too. I recently had similar situation and a bit od wd40 sorted the issue.you may also dismantle the entire.caliper and.get all parts cleaned and then put them back together. there are repair kits available. EPB detecs loose cables (or lack of tension if you want) and then it pulls more and more until the resistance is large enought. After releasing brakes using that handle in boot you have to reset the EPB (diagnostic computer- not neccesary CLIP). Thanks wojtek
ReplyDeleteHi. I've Scenic Mk2 and had some problems with EPB. First of all check parking brake warning came up but everything was working fine, both manual and automatic release. Then EPB was stuck on and would not release. I managed to release it by holding the start button in, which also cleared the warning for a day. Warning came back on and then EPB stuck on again and I had to release with lever in boot. After that the handbrake worked for a few days day but then failed again and is now permanently off. Just trying to diagnose the problem before I start taking unit off. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks
ReplyDeleteHI. Please check the EPB motor. It may be in bits (burned), also what do you mean EPB stuck? are caliper lever seized?
DeleteHi woytek, hope you can help me. Just replaced clutch on my Scenic II 1.6 16V, and bitting point now is much lower than before. Because of that EPB release brake pads to late. Can it be programmed on diagnostic anyhoW? Sorry for my bad Rnglish. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHi. Try to adjust the sensor. You can either bent the housing on pedal on play with the sensor itself. It is not complicated.
DeleteThanks for you advice. After few days everything came to normal. It was left some air in clutch cilinder, now it is OK
DeleteHello Woitek,I need your expertise on a problem with my EPB ...I have a 2008 Renault Scenic 1.6 , manual.... Electronic parking brake worked perfectly every time....but when went for NCT ,they failed me because on the dashboard nothing shows parking brake is on.....Normally a symbol (!) Accompanied by a message parking brake on/off ...but on mine absolutely nothing comes up on the dash ,even though parking brake works great every time...Went for diagnostics,no one could find anything wrong...checked and changed the parking brake switch ,, nothing changed..then changed the parking brake actual module...same problem ...brake is working fine ,just nothing comes up on the dash (speed clock).. Please help
ReplyDeleteHi there. I had 1 Scenic with same thing - mine. Ended up with changing the dashboard display... You may try to change the handle but 99% you may need need display (quite expensive - try scrap yards). Are you close to Dublin?
ReplyDeleteHi Wojtek, I got one Renault Grand Scenic 1.5 06 fill days ago my parking brake stop work, and the red light on the handle flash all time, I have passed the OBD and give me the message cruise control/brake switch sensor fault, this sensor can affect the parking brake?
ReplyDeleteHi. It is all connected so yes it is possible
ReplyDeleteHelp and advice please .... When you jump in the car , place the key card in the slot , you can either press the clutch in or the brake pedal provided it’s in nuetral and it should start..
ReplyDeleteThe wire on the clutch pedal had snapped , so ended up stripping the connector off and re soldiering the wire on to the connectors and assembled the block back up !
This still didn’t work after ! It may be possible as the wire snapped it shorted and blew a fuse ( I’ve not located where this would be yet)
When I attempt to start using the clutch it tells me on the dash as I press the start button to still press the clutch and doesn’t recognise the action is being performed ! However when I try this with the brake pedal it recognises this but still doesn’t start (may still be a fuse)
Now I’ve scrolled google and forums read posts of similar problems and they have said things as battery is shot , however I’ve disconnected the battery and put jump leads from my truck to its leads , powers up on dash however still no go on turning over.
Someone even say starter motor ! Which I’ve looked for but can’t see??
Someone suggests there are 4 fuses on the battery itself they may have gone but they are not regular fuses I’ve ever seen before ?
My Mrs finished her night shift last night jumped into the car started fine no issue , drove it to some shops 4 mile away , parked , shopped returned an no start ! Ended up being bump started and ran fine , returned home , parked the car , stopped the car using the button fine , however when I asked her to see if it restart it did not

Hello, my automatic brake on the mk2 scenic has the brake service light on, it will not automatically release the brake when I pull off. I can do it with the lever. I think the is a clutch sensor error reading, what could the problem be?
ReplyDeletehi.yes change the clutch position sensor, please
ReplyDeleteHi, excellent explanation of problem. I have the same one. When I press clutch, just last few cm before floor message disappear. Do you know which sensor of those 3 is responsible?

DeleteI got all the alarm(check parking/parking brake fault/brake/(P)/service now)from 3 years and I did pass the previous two MOT but not last one. Anyway everything works fine.
I did follow all the suggestions found in this blog (fluid, sensors, manual hand brake lever (red led doesn't work), emergency release and it looks that everything works.
I done 3 diagnostics without any response . I did try to reset the alarm but nothing works.
My scenic is 1.6 petrol 6 speed 2007
Anyone can suggest me something to do?
Thanks in advance

hi, change the hand brake lever. The red led has to be on, it may cause the error.
DeleteExcellent job. To bad my steering wheel is on the left side so I don't know should I deassemblle all of those plastics
ReplyDeleteVery good and same on Laguna 3 remove shield and air ducting and just possible to get to them all, the black button on switch has a ratchet and can abe reset by gently pulling it. Top switch is depressed middle is clutch pedal up and wants pedal depressed as switch fitted fitted. Pot gives feed back for pedal travel for auto handbrake disengage ,hill start.
